Another year has come and gone we reflect on the many things and obstacles we have over come in the recent past.
We have lost so many family members this past year, the latest, my husband's brother,
Darrell.
Summer 2010
Christmas has been difficult for the in-laws, we did the best we could to help with their hurt. We enlarged to poster size a picture taken this past summer at a family gathering in July 2010. Darrell, seemed happy and vibrant. I can’t help but feel in my soul,
Darrell knew his time was short.
Darrell knew his time was short.
We shared fun times at Peoria Rivermen hockey games, went to Paradise Casio, all in an effort to let him know, we wanted the time spent with him to be a joyous time.
Halloween will forever be haunted with the loss of Darrell.
Darrell, was a young man just readying for the middle of his life and awaiting the 2011 marriage of his only son, to a beautiful young woman.
With coming of the new year I hope for the sake of the family, these things will be a warm reminder of Darrell and all that he was to the family.
On Christmas Eve
this picture from the summer gathering was enlarged to a poster size to give to my husbands mother as a suprise gift, I had an awful time trying to keep him from spilling the beans, had to work everything on Christmas Eve.
Walgreens Drug Store, corner of Rt.48 & W. Grand Ave. Decatur, Il, took this at 4:30 in the afternoon and had it printed by 7:00pm, we let it set over night to be sure the ink was dry, framed it the next day, (Christmas morning), with a frame my husband had made and was desiginated for another picture, we suprised his folks about 1:00 in the afternoon.
On Christmas Day
My mother-in-law was so taken, it made her cry.
